About us
Med-Italia Biomedica was founded in 1986 by a group of experienced medical device entrepreneurs, with the goal to produce a range of disposable medical and surgical products to meet the specific needs of each customer. The company is located in Medolla, the Italian “medical plastics valley”, which since the early 60’s has seen a huge development in the field of biomedical technologies.
Med-Italia Biomedica provides its customers a know-how gained through years of study and planning, but most importantly equipment designed, tested, controlled and produced in Italy to create standard and custom products to meet the demands and needs of the medical industry. The founders of Med-Italia, already leaders in biomedical technology development, entered this new activity with a background in disposable devices, materials, components and an expert staff.
Among the main activities of Med-Italia Biomedica, there is the hospital service management division for the “turn-key” supply of medical and surgical devices for Interventional Radiology, Neuroradiology, Cath Lab, and Gastroenterology of some of the most important Italian hospitals, with a considerable cost and time savings to the hospitals.
The result is a company of high quality products and services that meet the highest standards and the most recent European standards. Following the earthquake of 2012 that struck the Mirandola area in Italy, the facility was completely rebuilt, using all the latest seismic, ecological criteria and energy efficiency following all the latest European and Industry standards and regulations.
Our clean room was expanded and designed in accordance with the latest European regulations. This global restructuring has led to a further evolution in the production and logistics process to a wider range of medical products made by Med-Italia Biomedica. Currently, the facility occuupies an area of about 3,000 square meters, of which 2,000 are our warehouse divided between raw materials and finished products.
